Congratulations to 2012 Firefighter of the Year John Reinhart The Chalfont Fire Company votes one member annually to be our "Firefighter of the Year". Nominated by his or her peers, this person has gone above and beyond for the Fire Company. As Firefighter of the Year, this member is recognized by various legislators and surrounding fire companies for their service at the Burpee Awards Banquet hosted by the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce. This years, nominee was John Reinhart. John joined the Fire Company in 1998 as a junior firefighter, and after completing Firefighter 1, moved to senior membership. John moved out of the area, but continues to work in Chalfont at Bi-County Fuels where he is able to respond to emergencies during daytime hours. Using his knowledge of plumbing, heating and air conditioning, John has continually assisted in routine maintenance of the fire stations in Chalfont. John's knowledge came into play during the construction of Station 34, where he was able to save the Fire Company money by performing work for the new station at no or little cost to the Fire Company. John also is in charge of the nomination and election process for the Fire Company. John regularly lends a hand at our fundraising events and participates in Fire Company drills and meetings. The Officers and Members of the Chalfont Fire Company would like to Congratulate John Reinhart on being Firefighter of the Year.
